Although we are located in the metro-area many people describe New Life UMC as a city church with a rural feel. It is a place where everyone is truly welcome. We have pot-luck fellowship dinner following our worship service on the last Sunday of the month and various fellowship activities throughout the month
Your Sunday best is admired but not required! We are a diverse bunch… some like to dress up, but others prefer jeans and a t-shirt. We believe God’s radical hospitality is extended to everyone, regardless of wardrobe choice.
Children are always welcome at New Life! Childcare is provided (but optional) for children 3 and under; our greeters are happy to direct you to the nursery’s new location on request. Children ages 4-10 are encouraged to participate in the first 10-15 minutes of service, then are invited to come forward for “Children’s Church” which is a brief sermon, followed by a lesson in a classroom setting nearby. All participation is voluntary, and quiet activity packs like coloring and legos are available for children of any age who prefer not to be separated from their parents. New Life UMC follows Safe Sanctuary policies.
Communion is served on the first Sunday of every month, both traditionally and by intinction.
New Life is wheelchair accessible. We’re working on headphones for the hearing impaired, but in the meantime, those who are hard of hearing are encouraged to sit up front near the speakers to hear the good word. On Communion Sundays, we’re happy to meet you where you are (ie, in your seat) if needed.
